Okay, but what does that even mean?! How can you do this Inside the classroom? Outside in the play area? And in areas Beyond the fence? This webinar will address those questions! 

The NAture-Based Education Rating Scale (NABERS) says that nature should be infused in all areas of the three possible learning spaces of the Inside, Outside, and Beyond. It also emphasizes loose parts, human- and nature-made materials, experiences in natural ecosystems, and more. This webinar will dive into each of the three learning spaces addressing how to:

  • Provide realistic materials that reflect local nature

  • Reflect a community having positive outdoor experiences

  • Integrate or access natural features

Not sure what we’re talking about? NABERS is a tool for both PreK and K-3 programs to determine the “natureness” of their program and teaching.
