Reflect & Renew: A Self-Guided Retreat for Nature-Based Leadership Teams
A ready-to-use, 6-hour retreat guide for nature-based leadership teams to reflect on the past year and plan for a thriving year ahead
This self-guided retreat—in PDF form—offers nature-based early childhood administrators and their leadership teams a structured, collaborative space to reflect on the past school year, celebrate successes, and set intentional goals for the year to come. Included is a detailed agenda with times, description of the activity, and materials needed. Simply schedule a 3- or 6-hour time block, print the materials, and dive into meaningful dialogue and planning.
Taking time to think about what did and did not work throughout the year (the stress points and the joys), will help determine the priorities for the next year in our nature-based programs. In other words, what can we learn from this year to carry forward to next year?
We've provided a 6-hour agenda with specific questions in a particular order. (There is a 3-hour option if you’re short on time.) The prompts in this document are intended to help you reflect on the school year and what should remain the same or change.
Note: This retreat is for leadership teams to reflect on both administrative and pedagogical practices. If you’re a teacher looking to reflect on your classroom teaching, you may prefer the Reflecting on Practice: Looking Back to Move Forward.
This is a 27-page downloadable PDF that can be shared with your leadership team members. Given the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final and cannot be refunded.
